Workshop 2: Coppersmithing 101

This is a 3-day workshop at my Fredonia, Wisconsin copper shop. It's pretty much the only place in America where you'll ever get a chance to have a mini-apprenticeship in coppersmithing! We are in the copper shop all day Friday, Saturday and half of Sunday with a total of about 21 total hours in the copper shop. There will be a catered lunch provided all three days as well as a few additional short breaks / snacks throughout plus dinner one night on me!

Class Dates:  Friday June 28, Saturday June 29, & Sunday June 30, 2024

Hands-on tutorial of all the hand tools tools in the copper shop with hands-on practice

Soldering 101

How to build a pattern to build anything from scratch

Build a tin mint julep cup

Build an entire handmade tin-lined copper mug from start to finish

Build a copper bowl from start to finish

What You Take Home:

A review booklet with all the information from the class for later study/use

Small copper items you make during practice with tools

Your tin mint julep cup

Your handmade tin-lined copper mug

Your handmade copper bowl

Your new pattern for future use

Class Size Limit: Up to 5 people

**Once you sign up for the class, we'll be in direct contact in the ensuing weeks. If you're traveling from outside Wisconsin, or don't live close, I'll also be sending you a bunch of information about travel details, hotel options, places to eat, and things to do/see. 

Cancellation Policy:

Classes are fully refundable until 3 months before the start date. After that, up to six weeks prior to the event, you will receive 50% back of your purchase. Any cancellations six weeks or less before the event will result in a reimbursement of 25%. You may wish to consider purchasing your own travel insurance within 21 days after purchasing a workshop to recover most/all of your expenses in light of unforeseeable circumstances.
